A very respectable list of honours for the young Ligurian, who holds the Italian record in the 200 medley and has won two gold medals at the World Championships in the short-distance swimming pool, one gold, two silver and two bronze medals at the European Championships, and excellent placings at the last Olympic Games (8th in the 400 m medley and 9th in the 200 m medley). Coached by Stefano Franceschi, he has shown increasing awareness and maturity over time. Much attention to the technical part and the construction of the race, and then a determination to sell when he gets on the starting block.
